Our Story
Hi, I’m Chef Alvin, and this is my youngest son, Aiden. I’ve been cooking since I was six years old and ran a successful catering business for 15 years. But my true passion? Baking. Aiden was diagnosed with autism before he turned three, and as he grew older, my family and I faced the same question many parents of children with special needs do: 'What happens when the school bus stops coming?'—typically after their 22nd birthday.
That’s when we created Al’s Cookie Mixx. It’s a way to bring together my love for baking delicious, handcrafted cookies with bold flavors, and my dedication to creating opportunities for Aiden and his friends. Every cookie is a celebration of both the joy of baking and the incredible talents of our team.

First time ordering from the site. I wasn't sure of what I was receiving for the cost. The cookies were well worth it and more. The cookies were huge. More of a meal than a snack. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Alvin in Chicago and the W.O.W. LitFest where he let me try some samples of these wonderful cookies! After trying some, I proceeded to buy half a dozen there and a dozen more when I got home (oops!!) A great taste for a great cause. Try something new!

the chocolate cookie base is just outstanding! no bitter chocolate flavor, just perfect! i added white chocolate ships and walnuts...it's irresistible!
I love all the Al's cookies, but this is my new favorite! Soft and chewy, all at the same time. And the chocolate flavor is out of this world. You guys rock!
