Our Story
Hi, I’m Chef Alvin, and this is my youngest son, Aiden. I’ve been cooking since I was six years old and ran a successful catering business for 15 years. But my true passion? Baking. Aiden was diagnosed with autism before he turned three, and as he grew older, my family and I faced the same question many parents of children with special needs do: 'What happens when the school bus stops coming?'—typically after their 22nd birthday.
That’s when we created Al’s Cookie Mixx. It’s a way to bring together my love for baking delicious, handcrafted cookies with bold flavors, and my dedication to creating opportunities for Aiden and his friends. Every cookie is a celebration of both the joy of baking and the incredible talents of our team.

My niece just started her freshman year of college and I heard about this cookie subscription service. What could be more perfect? I chose the triple chocolate chunk cookies and chocolate milk. My niece was over the moon excited. She loves the cookies and can’t wait until her next box.
This is my 2nd favorite flavor made by Al's (with Pumpkin Spice being #1.) The strawberry lemonade mix is tangy and tasty at the same time. As with all their cookies - they're very soft out the bag, and they're big (which means it's a filling treat.) I buy these and the pumpkin spice in bulk.
I've purchased several of their products, and this is by far my favorite. I don't get much pumpkin flavor in this cookie...it gives me snickerdoodle vibes which i LOVE. So if you're expecting super pumpkin notes, this one may throw you off. But like their other products, it's super soft and flavorful. 5 stars!

Tried these cookies for the first time yesterday at an Artisan Market in Wilmette. Al's is a black owned business making a difference for those living with disabilities. The cookies are some of the best I've ever had and will buy them again! And, you should try them too!
